Shen Yun Performing Arts is a New York-based non-profit entertainment company owned and operated by the Falun Gong new religious movement. The performances are free from any government influence and tells 5,000 years' worth of lost Chinese history. Shen Yun’s show has been enjoyed by millions of viewers all around the world. The company has also performed in more than 140 cities across Asia, Europe, North America, and Australia.
The company was founded in 2006 and now resides in Deerpark, New York. The performances tell stories of legends, historical figures, folklores, and heroes, among others.
